walls or ceiling surfaces, as it is assumed that such plastering is in good condition, and is
suitable to take treatment specified. Similarly, the costs of the repairs and renewals of any
defects which are not visible at the time of estimating will be chargeable, unless allowance for

1.8 Completion timescales
Estimated completion times are guidelines and although we will endeavour to complete the
work in the time frame intimated, we will not be held liable for failure to complete the scheduled
works within the estimated time frame. Works undertaken may take longer or lesser time than
originally advised, costs provided in the quotation will remain the same regardless of which of
these may arise, all work will be completed to a satisfactory level regardless of time taken to
complete the project.
Similarly, it may be that by employing extra resources we can finish a project more quickly than
estimated. In which case the price of the quote will not change.
However, should the completion take longer or the start date be delayed because a) the space
isn’t ready for us to start on the agreed start date b) there are delays caused by other
tradesmen working on the project after we have started the work c) you (the client) change
your mind, at any stage after the paint has been purchased and the scope of the project
agreed, regarding the colour or design, we carry no responsibility, and this may result in
increased overall project price, which you’ll be asked to agree to before the completion.

items and goods but we accept no responsibility for any damage to goods. We reserve the
right to decline to move goods if the condition is at risk of damage to the equipment or the
property. We reserve the right to decline to move particularly heavy or bulky items if they
present a higher than accepted health and safety risk. Where items cannot be covered or

in the work area are carefully and thoroughly covered and/or masked.
However, there will always remain a very small risk of overspill or dust getting past these
precautions. In the rare event of overspill, or cosmetic damage, we will endeavour to ensure
that it is satisfactorily cleaned. As dust does not leave any permanent damage this will not be
our responsibility to remove all dust after completion.
1.15 Payment of quoted and fixed price work
The client agrees to pay the balance for completed work on completion of the project. Payment
is due within the time-scales as stated in the Terms and Conditions and the amount, unless
amended by Cutting In Interiors, is fixed in the quotation. Therefore, the client is liable for
payment, regardless of whether an invoice has been received and the client is in agreement to
the payment terms stated in these Terms and Conditions once they accept the quote supplied
and agree a start date for work to commence.
1.16 Completion of the project
